     After being in a small public shelter for over five months, Tigger traveled a long distance to find his forever home, with a family who had lost their much loved senior Pit. Tigger immediately became a family member, loving life and especially the little girl who hugs and loves with her new best friend.      I met my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier in 1986. He was registered with the AKC and was imported from England. He was red and white. He became an AKC Grand Champion. He loved people, but adored children the most. The breed is loyal, loving, playful (comical in many ways), and the best companion type. Staffy's are tough, solidly built, and have very few, if any, health problems. He blessed us with 15 1/2 years of love. I obtained another Staffy from the same breeder and he was a grandson of my original dog and he went on to become an AKC Champion also. I had him for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I started looking for another Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I was exploring online and came across this website. I could see that most of the dogs shown were mixed breeds with Staffordshire, Pit Bull, etc. and I became very concerned that many of these sweet temperament animals were having a difficult time being adopted because of many factors: misunderstanding of the breed's characteristics, age, and circumstances. I found a five year old male Staffy type that was mixed with a Pit Bull. I called and spoke with the owner. After asking many questions, I made arrangements to meet. It was instant love at first sight. I had my other dog (Jack Russell) along with me to see if they would be compatible. They gave each other the sniff test and started playing. It was the best decision I made and I took the new dog home. I know he will have the best years of his life in his new home. It has worked out beautifully! The two dogs get along and I have two great dogs to live and spoil! Thank you for everything, Rescue Me!

     I lost my 14 year old Pitbull and my life was shattered. He was my buddy, my best friend, my life! I didn't think I'd ever be able to replace him. Then, I saw Red on Rescue Me! I fell for him the moment I saw him, and just had to have him! With a lot of emails and a lot of praying, I finally got the call! Once I saw the pup, I knew he was the right one and would fit perfectly into my life! Thank you so very much!

     Today, my beautiful Jackie was adopted by the perfect couple! She was shy at first, but warmed up to them. When she jumped into the back of their car, I knew it was going to be okay.      This is Oso. I cannot deny that he is missed already and its been just six hours, but I am so grateful for his new family. It was like he knew he was leaving, but was happy to move on to his new family, who I must say were so loving even before I met them. We had a long phone conversation and I knew Tamara was going to be a great mom to him and it was confirmed when she and her husband Mike came to see Oso from over a two hours away. He jumped right in their arms and then in their truck. When I spoke to her the six hours later, she said Oso was so well behaved and was doing well. He had his head on her shoulder as we were speaking. I can not thank them enough for giving Oso a chance at a better life. Unfortunately, we couldn't do for him anymore. He deserves unconditional love and I am so sure he will have that. Thank you, Rescue Me and Tamara and Mike for being genuinely loving people. I look forward to staying in touch and getting those pics and videos of him and his new sister.

     Hello Jeff, I was the temporary owner of Sargent. I found him on a busy corner in the highway median! I watched him get hit by a car. I nursed him back to health, and had him for five weeks and two days. A couple came to my home one evening, and as soon as they came into my door, it was an instant like. The woman was being licked all over her face and then Sargent put his front body on top of the mans lap and I knew they were going to be a good fit for my Sargent. That was most important to me because he was a nice, gentle, wonderful dog even when I gave him baths! He was also gentle when I would doctor his back legs and tail from being hit. He never growled at me, not one time. Thank you for have having Rescue Me! for these dogs. It worked for Sargent, as he is now placed in a happy loving home.

     We are so delighted to report that Lady Bailey was adopted today! Folks drove all the way from Carson City, Nevada to Grants Pass, Oregon to adopt her. She is a little wiggle butt - and her new family were absolutely in love with her! They had always had Staffordshires and recently lost their precious one! Thank you again for this resource matching perfect families for our perfect dogs. Our Great American Shelter Dog is best in show!

     A wonderful guy has adopted Polo! He drove quite a way to see him, and after visiting with us for several hours, he and his new buddy were on their way home. Polo took to him immediately, and although we feel the loss of his absence, we know that he deserves a forever home with a special person. He phoned later to let us know how things were going, and we assured him that we would be here if things didn't work out. Polo appeared on our doorstep six months ago and we may never know how or why he came to us, but we will know his future. He so deserves one in which he is loved and cared for. All pits do. I only wish there was a wonderful person for each one of them. At least this one found his. Fostering a pit has been a wonderful and heart wrenching experience, we would not hesitate to do it again if necessary. Thank you 'Rescue Me' for bringing Polo and his new guy together! Our two canines thank you, too!

     Rescue me is amazing! I had a rescue dog, Serena, whose experience from intake to Cleveland Animal Control's kennel to foster to permanent home was a total of 28 days! I think that is a rescue dog record! I had her as a foster for only 2 weeks before someone called who was the perfect match for my scared little death row dog.... I could only wish all rescue to permanent homes went so quickly and perfectly. So many more animals can be saved from a horrible fate because of the help of rescue me. Thank you so much for what you are doing to help these animals avoid the shelters and unknown futures. You are awesome!

I posted ads for both my staffies yesterday (Friday, 11/16) and found a good home for Minki the younger female staffie in the evening.      Hello Mr. Gold. Danni did find a great loving home using RescueMe.Org. A nice couple about an hour from us was looking into adopting a couple of dogs and Danni became one of them. We took her to meet them and that very same day they decided that they loved her and would take her.
