Rescue Me ID: 18-05-20-00057Cat lovin' Dennis (male)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Darling Dennis is approx 3yrs old and weighs about 55lbs. He's a short, solid boy that is very shy when first meeting new people, but with just a few minutes of easy going interaction, he becomes a very silly, affectionate boy that loves tummy rubs. Once he gets to know you, he is a wonderful, happy guy that will follow you anywhere. He loves other dogs so to continue helping him build trust and confidence, another like size, playful dog in the home would be ideal. He must also have a securely fenced backyard. Because of his insecure nature, an adult only home is best. Dennis is a very quiet boy that does not demand much... other than ... (Read More)lots of love, outside playtime... and his favorite belly rubs. He's great walking on a leash or just hanging out at home. He's still a little insecure with car rides so more car rides are needed for him to realize that they are fun, too. He would do best in an easy going, suburban or rural home. (Less)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Moose is in urgent need of a foster or adopter in Washington or Oregon. He can be with other dogs, but he has a trigger we've not quite figured out, so we're recommending he be an only dog or be with a very breed savvy person who will separate when not closely supervising. Here is what his foster says about him: Moose is just a big ole lug with a heart almost as big as his head. He wants nothing more than to be in your lap or at least at your feet. He will even paw at you if it's been too long since you've pet him. But his paws are big and stronger than he realizes so no children under 12 and ABSOLUTELY no cats. He loves his doggy buddies ... (Read More)and plays very well, albeit rough so he needs sturdy friends. He takes the submissive role with our alpha female, he's still young at heart and has much more stamina than she does but takes correction well. He does jump up if people allow him to, although he knows it's not ok (doesn't do it with his foster), and is a big guy so needs sturdy people as well. He is protective of his yard but not in an obnoxious way, he loves a good chew bone and a nap. While he takes a bit to grasp a concept, once he does he is eager to please and very teachable. He has learned not to get on our furniture but that one lazy boy is ok for dogs and he lazes the day away in it. He's not a high maintenance dog but will need his daily walk and frequent access to toys/treats/bones/chews to keep him from getting bored. He's definitely a lover of the ladies but responds very very well to a strong male in his life. He needs someone to show him exactly what they want from him, maybe once or twice, and then he'll do everything he can to please. Moose needs a strong leader, structure, and boundaries. He can live with smaller dogs but he should not be left unattended with them as he plays rough and that could end badly. ABSOLUTELY NO CATS!! Moose is fostered in the Seattle, WA area ****Apply here to adopt Moose: (Less)

I'M MARVIN! I may look a little scary, but I'm really not! I love, love, love to play ball and with toys! I am a 2-year-old handsome black staffie-pittie mix who was saved from the shelter euthanasia list in January. I'm a great dog who deserves a home! I have been neutered and am up-to-date on my shots, and I weigh about 59 lbs.

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-30-00061Lucia (female)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Lucia is a 5ish yr old, 60lb, muscle packed LOVER of a girl! She has always lived with a Spanish speaking family so she primarily knows commands in Spanish. She is a smart girl so she's quickly learning English as a second language, too. Lucia is house trained and loves people so she'd be a great companion to a family with kids over 12yrs old. She's great with little ones, too, but the small children in her previous home kept leaving the front door open so she kept getting out and fence fighting with the neighbors dogs. She walks well on a leash and when doing so, she is learning to ignore other dogs and cats that she sees. She is a ... (Read More)very gentle, quiet girl that bonds quickly to her people, although she can be a bit timid with some men so and experienced person is a must. She must also have a securely fenced backyard and no other animals in the home. (Less)
