A new year is here and with that brings yet another year that our sweet Guinevere is looking for her forever home. When the summer of 2016 comes that will mark the eighth year that Guin has been with us. Those years have been full of smiles, kisses, hugs, and snuggles; but, they have also been full of sadness. Seven and a half years ago we pulled this gorgeous white girl from a high kill shelter in Missouri. Guin was born deaf and discarded because no one wanted her. Thanks to our amazing founder she was pulled and brought to the Menagerie where she now lives. Over the years we found that Guin does not do well with other animals. She is ... (Read More)dominate and doesn't like to share her home. So along with being deaf that was another strike against her. More recently Guin had skin cancer removed from her leg and belly. This added yet another strike against her. After her surgery Guin was living in the Menagerie house with Jeannine and Lyle and they began to notice her eyesight was off. After another vet visit we found that Guin is also going blind. Despite all of these strikes against her she is still the happiest little girl you will ever meet. She always has a smile in her face and her tail is always a wagging blur. We are always amazed by just how amazing, playful, and lovey she is. Guin is considered a misfit by many people and this has kept her from finding her forever home for all these years. Almost as if she has been tossed away to the island of misfit toys. We are hoping that within 2016 we can find a forever home or even a foster home for our amazing aging girl. If only people knew how sweet she was we are sure they would scoop her up. Guinevere is a pretty low energy dog and she would do well with just a simple walk a day. She would be good for an older couple or a family without young kids. As said before Guin needs to be the only pet in the home. This amazing snow white girl is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She knows her basic commands in sign. Guin loves to be out side and in the summer she loves to go on short hikes with the volunteer kids. She also likes to lay in the sun in the summer so she needs sun screen on her belly to prevent her cancer from coming back. Her adoption fee is $160. If you feel that you can give this spacial girl her forever home please send an email to or call us at 435-406-6779. Fullmer Menagerie Animal Rescue dog approve out of state adoptions, but do to limited funds and volunteers we can not fly our animals. All transportation costs are at the expense of the adopter.
