Lyla is a 15 month old Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is a funny little dog that snorts and has lots of rough and tumble energy. She is sweet and LOVES her dog toys. Lyla is also very intelligent and a fast learner too. She was rescued off the streets of Dallas where she was abandoned after having what was probably her first (and last!) litter of puppies. Lyla should not be in a home with cats. She would enjoy a home with a playful dog or no other dogs and older children are okay. Spot has been living on a chain for over 6 months. He was neutered 2 months ago and is healthy. He is very affectionate and playful. He may need socialization due to the long period he has been chained. He is well behaved when taken off the chain and brought indoor, but this has only been for limited periods. He does well with the two male(neutered) dogs he interacts with. Spot was discovered Nov 2012 digging through my trash. I soon discovered that he has escaped a chain in my neighbors yard, where he has been forgotten about and was well on his way to starvation. He has since gained 15lbs and weighs 39lbs. I rescued Johnny off the street. I finally got his rabies shot and neutered so I could register him. The city of Garland, TX has strict codes for his breed (among others). I have to replace my fence in order to keep him. There is no way I can afford this!!! :( Garland is a 72 hr KILL SHELTER!!! Any help finding him a home or any suggestions will be much appreciated!!! Rome was abandoned at Elgin Family Pet Center in 2009. He has been living with me since. He is great with my 2 year old daughter and our other dogs. I want to be honest he is not very good with cats. When they run, he thinks it's a game of chase and he usually always wins. When he was abandoned, he had an embedded collar and parvo. I could not say no to those beautiful yellow/gold eyes. I'm fostering Ziggy from ACS and have had him since he was 9 days old. He loves roughhousing (plays with my 4 yr old pit bull all the time) He's going to be fairly large at 8 wks he weighed 12 lbs and has been gaining about a pound and a half a week since we've had him He's pretty much house broken. He still has a few accidents on occasion, but generally goes outside and can go overnight without accidents He has been exposed to all different sizes of dogs and has always gotten along well with them Bexar County San Antonio, TX MAP IT!

I'm currently fostering this cute little guy from ACS San Antonio, so the adoption paperwork will have to be done through ACS. He is a super friendly guy who loves to roughhouse with other dogs. I've had him since he was nine days old (he was born 3/3/13) and he is used to playing with big dogs, but had been exposed to small dogs and cats as well. Mars was found nearly dead on the street in San Antonio. He has had a hard go of it but now he is happy and well nourished. He was not socialized with other dogs so does not know how to play or interact well with others though he goes for walks with the other dogs nightly. He is a very gentle calm dog that just needs a little love and a safe place to lay his pillow. Mars is a smaller boy that weighs in at 47 lbs of love. He has some scars from his past but he has left those bad days behind. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He will do well as an only dog. Initially he was very cowed, but has turned into a giant, sweet house dog. My brother is terminally ill now, and hospitalized for the fifth time in the past 8 months. My mother is elderly and blind, and cannot keep the dog permanently, although he is currently in her house. He is a sweet, loving dog who deserves a good, loving home. Pixie wandered into Our work parking lot about a year ago. one of the guys At work took her home and when he moved a few months later he left her at his rent house with little food and water, we couldn't leave her there knowing her story, so we brought her home. Wormed and vaccinated 12/17/11 Spayed & Rabies 12/29/11 Mini was rescued from the Arlington Animal Shelter and now is looking for a loving forever home. She's a sweet, gentle and very affectionate girl. She must not have had much loving before because she just can't get too much now. She 100% house-trained, crate trained and very happy just being near her foster mom. She's been introduced to a couple of other foster dogs and played well. There are no cats in the foster home so we can't say how she would do with them at this time. There are no children in the house but she has done fine with visiting children. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a British breed that is often confused with its American counterpart, the Pit Bull. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are extremely friendly and good with children. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are powerful dogs that need strong leadership and training from an experienced owner. Staffies are brave and protective, and may be aggressive toward other dogs. A Staffie can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
