|Rescue Me ID: 17-06-30-00397Coney (female)|
My boyfriend's mother adopted Coney (previously Sioux) from Almost Home about 2 years ago. Since then, she passed away, leaving my boyfriend and me to care for Coney. We were not prepared to do so, especially with me being allergic, but we wanted to keep her because she was such a sweet, loving dog. However, it has been extremely hard caring for her and with my allergies, we simply cannot continue to give her the life she deserves. Since she left Almost Home she has been kept current with her vaccines. She is spayed (that's what the paperwork said). She has also learned how to play fetch (although we're still working on her bringing it back, sometimes she likes to hold on to it and start chewing on it, but she's so gentle, she'll let you take anything right from her mouth). We've taken her to dog parks several times where she loves to run around. She gets along with other dogs for the most part, but we do keep a close eye on her when she's off leash at a park because there have been a couple times where she's gotten 'mouthy' with another dog, typically another 'pitbull' type but there has never been blood drawn or any real concern. Other owners have often commented 'they're just being dogs, no big deal,' so I would say she's ok with other dogs, but the owner needs to pay attention. We don't know how she is with little kids (biggest concern would be her knocking them over because she thinks she's a lap dog, even though she's 55lbs, and she loves to lean). But, every person she's come into contact with us she has instantly loved. Sometimes she'll get in the trash - her favorite, so new owners should be warned to keep that stored/out of reach. She loves to have a bone or kong or a toy to chew on during the day. Give her a blanket and/or pillow and she'll make herself a little nest - it's so cute! She has 2 personalities: 1 outside where she just wants to run and roll and play and then 1 inside where she just wants to cuddle and snuggle anyone around (and if no one is there, she'll curl up in the tiniest ball and cuddle herself). |Rescue Me ID: 16-06-16-00014Teller (male)|
Hello!! My name is Teller. I am a super sweet, approximately 2 year old boy! I am a lot of fun to be around and I love to give kisses once I get to know you. I am protective of my family and need proper introductions to people coming into my home. I will need a family who will work with me and be willing to continue with my training. I would do best in a home with older children since I have lots of energy. I will need to go to a home with a fenced yard. I love to play and I am good with other dogs too! I am house trained, crate trained and I know my basic commands. I am an all around awesome boy that would be your forever friend and companion. I am dreaming of a forever home where I will be loved and cared for, for the rest of my days. Can you make my dream come true? If you are interested in adopting me..
