Staffordshire Bull Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Girlie - she now has a $100 sponsorship by BARC - she is doing great, has calmed down and loves to play with the pull rope! I believe the tale I heard may well have been a way to get her into the shelter but I would have taken her regardless of what they said. When the people brought this medium sized Staffie in they said they could not keep her because she is dog aggressive. I told him I would keep her separate for several days and see what she does here. At first I thought they were right but after letter her out with Hercules and Boscoe on Thursday and all of the dogs on Friday, (yes I had her restrained so if something did happen I ... (Read More)could control the situation'|) I have had no signs of aggression from her except for the snarling the first day at Boscoe. She seems very timid so she may have had some abuse but she trusts me and seems very contempt to just walk around the outside of the shelter with the other three dogs. I would still like for her to go somewhere to help her in case she has been abused s if there is anyone who has a facility that could help her please let me know. She is a pretty dog and just under 2 years old and with some TLC and training would probably fine in the right home. (Less)

Animal ID: Hercules-D10Hercules (male)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Picked up this very nice neutered male Fawn Blue 5 year old Fawn Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier on (8/19/14) The woman said her grandson brought him home to the farm last year when his owner moved and he had been caring for him. He is now not there and the woman is not able to take care of him because he is so large and strong. She said he is very playful and since he was never taught not to jump on people he almost knocks her down. Last rabies tag is from 2013 but no recent vetting. Note he has been on a farm so as always afraid of what he can get from not being treated. If anyone can post or pull that would be great. He is pretty mild ... (Read More)fellow. May not be good with cats. If a rescue takes Hercules he has a $150 vetting sponsorship. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-07-00151Piglet (female)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Piglet is an adorable and cuddly, glossy, short and squat, 41-pound, two-year-old female, black and white tuxedo Staffordshire Bull Terrier with cropped ears looking for a strong dog-loving guardian. Piglet was found stray in Chicago and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Lucky for her, with her unique beauty, she caught the attention of Black Dog All Breed Rescue. She is living in a foster home and goes to doggie day care where she plays well with the big dogs (not little). Piglet's compact frame packs a lot of personality, muscle and playfulness. She can play a little rough so a medium to large dog would make the perfect ... (Read More)playmate. She is okay with dog-friendly cats. She can easily knock over small kids, so children over ten years of age would be best. Piglet is crate-trained, and doing well with her housebreaking when she goes out on a regular basis. Her adoption fee is $300. She is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested and micro-chipped. Piglet is a high-energy dog looking for an active household. If you are interested in Piglet, please contact Blackdogallbreedrescue@gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-02-00487Trixie (female)

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

We rescued Trixie from the Humane Society when she was two and have had her about 4 years. She is the sweetest dog. She gets along well with Hopper (also listed here) but does act aggressively to other dogs while we walk her. She is extremely submissive to adults, she acts as if she's been beaten in the past but after 4 years with us, still will revert to that if you yell at her. She lived in the house with a family of 5 and another dog and got along well. We sold the house with a yard and now I live in a small condo. She is caged 19hrs/day and I want her to have a better home with more space.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Fearful/Anxious

I need to rehome Bella. She is a fantastic dog house trained and great with adults and can be with kids with the exception of my son she does not like him at all. I'm scared she's going to bite him eventually she has snapped at him but never bitten anyone. She was recently attacked by 2 other pit bulls and since has been acting very nervous and has to protect her self. She needs lots of room to run and i would prefer she goes to a one person household that can give her the main attention and love she needs.
